After breakfast, we will transfer to one of the smallest and also one of the richest country in the world – Monaco. Enroute we will visit a perfume factory at Eze. Eze is a popular medieval French village which is famous for its spectacular views and authentic perfumeries. At the perfume factory in Eze, specialists will explain to you how perfumes are made. Learn how the special ingredients are extracted from nature and the specialised machinery convert them into exotic fragrances.
After the factory tour, we will proceed to Monaco. With a population of just 40,000 residents, Monaco is one of the most expensive and wealthiest countries in the world with 30% of its population deemed millionaires. We will start the city tour with a visit to the Colosseum, one of the new seven wonders of the world. With a seating capacity of 80,000 spectators, it was the largest amphitheatre in the world at the time of its construction in 72 AD. Its arena was used for gladiator fights, animal hunting, re-enactments of famous battles and mythological plays. After the tour of Colosseum, we will take a tour of the Roman Forum, an iconic plaza at the hub of daily life in ancient Rome. Important public affairs such as elections and public speeches were conducted at the Roman Forum, which is dotted with ruins of the Senate House, Temple of Saturn and more.
Later proceed to Trevi fountain. Made in Baroque style using Travertine Stone, it is believed that wishes come true for all those who make a wish at the fountain and throw a coin. We will also visit the Pantheon, an iconic temple built for Roman Gods in 126 A.D., it was later consecrated as a Christina Church.
